The CHaFE 150 benefits - READY! for Kindergarten

2010 RIDE AND EVENT INFORMATION

The CHaFE150 supports riders in the fashion to which they would like to become accustomed! Our start/finish area, at the Best Western Edgewater Resort on Lake Pend Oreille adjacent to downtown Sandpoint, has parking and changing areas, the excellent Trinity at City Beach restaurant, plus a wonderful lakefront setting. We also strive to make our food the best you ever experienced on a ride!

Friday registration will be open from 4:00p.m. until 7:00 at the Trinity at City Beach restaurant, the same location as the start/finish area for the ride. Your registration fee also includes a buffet dinner served on location, giving riders and chance to chat and nosh with fellow riders.

Early Saturday morning, riders will also enjoy a free breakfast at the Edgewater Resort staging point. At the start, Sandpoint Police will provide a short motor escort through the downtown to Highway 95.

Along the ride there are five pit stops along the way approximately every 30 miles, with bathrooms, water and snacks.

At the finish, to celebrate your ride there will be entertainment, beer and snacks on the beach at the Edgewater, with outstanding views of Lake Pend Oreille - and of course, the chance to take a dip, if that's your pleasure!

We're encouraging riders to collect donations and pledges. Why not leverage all that sweat-n-burn to raise money for a great cause? Top fundraisers will receive a distinctive and very cool jersey or other rewards. Go to About the Cause to get documents to collect those donations.

We're on Facebook. Go ahead, write on our wall. It's where to share or hook up with other Facebooking CHaFE riders.

Local lodging: the Best Western Edgewater is the official rider hotel, offering the convenience of lodging right at the start/finish site. Plus it's one of the nicest hotels in town with beach, superb lake views, indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. Check the Edgewater website; for a special rider discount call 208-263-3194 or 800-635-2534 to make reservations. For more lodging, dining and visitor info, click to the Area Information page

Rider photography during the event will be provided by area professionals that are donating their services. To see a sample, check the awesome 2009 photos or the inaugural 2008 photos. All proceeds from the sale of photos will be donated to CHaFE and the Ready! For Kindergarten! program.
